La Trobe University Herbarium

The La Trobe University Herbarium (LTB) is a teaching and research collection housed within the Department of Ecology, Environment and Evolution. Like all herbaria, it preserves dried, pressed plant specimens as a permanent scientific record, each sheet capturing not just a plant, but the date, place, and circumstances of its collection. Together these specimens form a botanical archive that supports identification, taxonomic research, and the study of how plant communities have changed over time.
